1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences, understand how you use the site, and provide a better experience on subsequent visits.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 and Information Technology Act, 2000, we are transparent about cookies and similar technologies used on our platform.

2. How We Use Cookies

Arleik uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

2.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function properly. They enable core features such as account authentication, session management, and security. Without these cookies, the Platform cannot operate as intended. These cookies do not require your consent.

2.2 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Platform by collecting anonymous usage data. This information helps us improve the Platform and identify areas that need attention. We use privacy-focused analytics that do not track users across websites. We do not use Google Analytics or any cross-site tracking tools.

2.3 Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and choices (such as your theme setting or language) to provide a more personalized experience. They do not track your browsing activity on other websites.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Since Arleik does not process payments directly (all payments are peer-to-peer UPI transactions), no payment provider cookies are set through our platform. UPI app redirects happen outside our website and are governed by the respective app's privacy policies.

We do not use advertising cookies or allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies on our Platform.

4. Managing Cookies

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored on your device
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific or all websites
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Accept all cookies
  • Receive a notification when a cookie is set

Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent certain features of the Platform from functioning properly, such as staying logged in or maintaining your theme preference.

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage to save your theme preference (light or dark mode). Local storage data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or settings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

7. DPDP Act Compliance

Cookie data that identifies you personally is treated as personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You have the right to manage, delete, or restrict cookies as described in Section 4 above.

8. Contact Us
